FIRST, A RECIPE DISCLAIMER:
I share recipes here on Angie’s Kitchen Shenanigans because I love to cook and would like to share with you the things that I have made which have come out pretty darn good as it relates to me and my family and Max the Maltese (the little guy you see on your address bar – isn’t he the cutest? Yeah I could be biased).
I do not claim to be the “original” owner of any of the recipes found herewith; because I believe, quite frankly, that unless you are a direct descendent of Noah and the other 7 people who survived the flood, no one has an “original” recipe. If that were the case, we’d all be in serious trouble because of copyright laws. Can you imagine? We wouldn’t be able to cook! Somewhere back in time, it’s been done before by someone else, in some cases, maybe even better than what is written on my page. With that said, if you find or come across a recipe in my blog that you feel was created by someone else, it probably and most definitely was so please do not post mean comments; it really isn’t necessary to let me know that you’ve been making that particular recipe for years and that it shouldn’t have that much butter in it, etc. Just take it as it’s a “variation” of what YOU do.
Isn’t that what it’s all about? – I’ve always viewed recipes not as definitive but more like a guideline. Taking a recipe and “making it your own” with ingredients you and your family love. That’s what makes the world go round folks! That’s not to say that I will not give honorable mention to recipes that I have seen and made from any given website or blog or even a cookbook. In those instances I will mention that a recipe was adapted from (blank). The exception of course are my photos, those are all original works by me and you will see most of them are watermarked, so please refrain from copying these without my consent.
So there you have it, legal jargon all out of the way. Now sit back and relax and enjoy my blog as you join me in my kitchen shenanigans.
